Dry Eyes

Dry eyes are possibly the most common problem eye doctors treat. There are a wide variety of causes of dry eye as well as varying degrees of severity. Dry eye can be very mild and cause minor irritation and/or fluctuations in vision. Dry eye can also lead to inflammation on the surface of the eyes, causing pain and reduction of vision. Advanced forms of dry eye can even cause scarring on the surface of the eyes and result in permanent vision loss.
