Robert Somppi, OD

Dr. Robert Somppi is a dedicated optometrist who completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University-Idaho. He went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry degree from The University of the Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry, graduating in 2024.

Dr. Somppi provided comprehensive eyecare to new recruits, active-duty personnel, and veterans in a civilian role with the United States Air Force. His experience includes managing a range of ocular conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, as well as offering routine eye care and perioperative care for cataract patients.

Dr. Somppi is passionate about serving underprivileged communities and has dedicated time to providing essential eye care services to underserved populations in South Texas. His commitment to improving vision health extends beyond the clinic as he continues to engage in community outreach and education.

Dr. Somppi is an active member of the American Optometric Association, staying updated with the latest advancements in optometry to provide the highest quality care to his patients.
